Sounds like a lot of possible roadblocks and unknowns with regards to adoption. I can relate, prayers for direction for you and hubby. It is so hard to wait to move forward with adoption after IF, peace be with you!!!Mike Brummondhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15276797377377334510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1354490057851633467.post-63639572701278731462013-12-17T19:55:03.082-08:002013-12-17T19:55:03.082-08:00I love that novena, it sounds like a great time to...I love that novena, it sounds like a great time to pray it. I can only imagine how a baby could complicate moving and remember...adoptions are not finalized in most states until six months after you get the baby. There will be post-placement visits etc. It takes time to get the paperwork done for the courts. Technically, you are foster parents for those first six months.

I would think moving might make things harder. I have no answers about the fire dept. I'd imagine that because there is a door you could get outside. Around us, you need to have a safety exit in the basement if there are bedrooms. I thought having a closet in the bedroom made it a bedroom. hopefully soon your knots will be undone!prayerfuljourneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15549430693172260600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1354490057851633467.post-77586595881259831262013-12-16T19:23:40.556-08:002013-12-16T19:23:40.556-08:00Yikes! Collect as much info as you can before taking action. One thing I've learned with adoption is once you move, you have to start the whole process over. We're sort of in a similar situation. Husband and I are talking about moving in the next year or so, and if we haven't adopted by then, it's back to the drawing board. But maybe that would be different if you use a larger, nation-wide adoption agency. Is there such a thing? Sorry, this is likely creating more knots for you. I'll just stop here and say... praying for ya!Stephanie @ Blessed to Behttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15432625948200484509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1354490057851633467.post-52201450783674807022013-12-16T17:53:51.036-08:002013-12-16T17:53:51.036-08:00So many things to think about; praying that you ar...So many things to think about; praying that you are able to find some answers!Catholic Mutthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10254315970336710941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1354490057851633467.post-43995021287226902002013-12-15T07:24:11.971-08:002013-12-15T07:24:11.971-08:00Oh wow, lots for you to discern!i believe the fire...Oh wow, lots for you to discern!i believe the fire dept. does have the power to declare a place unlivable due to fire safety, but it may be different depending on your state. Since it sounds like there is so much up in the air with Mr. M's dissertation and then job search, waiting and getting your financial ducks in a row might be the thing to do. Why does it all have to be so complicated?! In this situation I would usually have my husband decide so I don't think about it for too long and get too anxious.
